Layth H. Hert joined Rose Law Partners LLP in 2024 and is currently an associate with the firm.
Prior to joining the firm, Layth completed a judicial clerkship at the Connecticut Superior Court. In that role, Layth drafted, edited, and cite checked memoranda of decision by Superior Court judges on motions to dismiss and motions for summary judgment. He did extensive legal research for the judges on various civil matters before the court.
During law school, Layth was the executive editor of the Journal of Health & Biomedical Law and was also the president of OutLaw, Suffolk University Law School’s LGBTQ+ student organization. In addition to his role as a teaching assistant to Professor Michael L. Rustad’s Commercial Law Survey course, Layth was a certified student attorney with Suffolk Law’s Intellectual Property & Entrepreneurship Clinic. During law school, Layth served as a judicial intern for United States District Judge William G. Young and also for Justice Kenneth V. Desmond, Jr. of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
