Rose Law Partners LLP is proud to announce that partner Sammy Nabulsi has been reappointed by Mayor Michelle Wu to the City of Boston Lobbying Compliance Commission. The Commission was created to implement and enforce a 2018 ordinance that promotes accountability, transparency, and access to information through organizational and individual lobbyist registration and disclosure requirements.
The Commission’s responsibilities include investigating violations of unregistered lobbying activities and enforcing the ordinance through a multi-step investigative and hearing process. To learn more about lobbying in the City of Boston, the Boston Lobbying Ordinance can be viewed here.
Sammy was first appointed to the inaugural Commission in 2018 by former Mayor Marty Walsh, and Sammy has been serving as its Chairperson since 2019. As Chairperson, Sammy led the Commission’s efforts to create and enact its implementing regulations, which can be viewed here. The Boston City Council’s Committee on Government Operations will hold a public hearing on Sammy’s reappointment on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 10:00 a.m.
